WEGENER WINS WORLD TITLE
Finley Wegener (aged ten years old from Australia) beat the English at their own game, bellyboarding. Finley took out the World Bellyboard championships under 16 division in perfect conditions at Chapel Porth beach in St Agnes Cornwall on the 6th September.
The win ensures a substantial sponsorship deal for Finley Wegener with major companies vying for his signature.

The Wegener’s getting so stoked and braving the english sea with no rubber.
There was literally hundreds of fun loving belly boarders and many of them were super stoked and most of them were over 60.

Some shapers we know who have more than 30 years experience and are continuing to make fantastic surfboards…traditional longboards, contemporary shortboards, single fins, multi fins, custom creations….
(if you want a modern fashion bored, they can make them too)
Chris Brock (Wilderness, Sky and San Juan surfboards) Michael Cundith ( based in Byron bay) Bob Cooper (Sunshine Coast) Bob McTavish (Byron Bay) Dick Van Straalen (Burleigh Heads) Peter White (Noosa Heads) Dennis Anderson…Rooster (Coolangatta) Wayne Dean (Coolangatta) Bob Kennerson (Cresent Head) Scott Dillon (Coffs Harbour) Geoff McCoy (Byron bay) Mark Richards (Newcastle) Ron Wade (Monavale) Shane (Brookvale)….to name a few.
The question remains…is the knowledge being passed on to the next generation?
Who are some of the young guys who can shape a log, or a trim machine shortboard?
Global Choreography of the track ‘Stand By Me’ orginally written by Ben. E King and perhaps made famous by ‘The Drifters’.
Uplifting and brilliantly put together.
