An anonymous source once said: 'You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.' This sums up Johnny's work: subtle, beautiful, quiet. Softly spoken words, borrowed with a range of restored and antique cameras. Johnny's subjects largely arise from the ocean environment and countryside that is his life.
From Orknean slabs to sunflowers, Johnny is a wellspring of creative energy. When not behind the lens, he will likely be tampering with vintage super 8 cameras, running his company, or charging anything that comes through on a range of boards.
